Work Education

As purposive and meaningful manual work, work education helps the pupil to understand scientific facts and principles involved in various forms of work. It helps to inculcate socially desirable values such as self reliance, team work, dignity of labour etc. In the lower classes clay modelling, Paper folding are also taught. In the higher classes Screen printing, cooking, best out of waste, gardening, shramadan, paper making etc. are taught.

Physical and Health Education

School is providing infrastructure for Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Kho Kho, Cricket, Shuttle, Badminton etc. and Carrom, Chess. Training is also given in Drill and Marching. Athletics, meaning and nature of health, developing good habits, nutritious food and their selection are also taught in the higher classes as part of health education. Training is also being given in bands and other related instruments.

Yoga

Yoga is control of thought waves in mind. Taking in line with our tradition, to control mind and for successful attainment in studies and conduct, develop concentration and to face the challenges in real life situation Yoga classes have been introduced to all the classes.

Music: Vocal, Mridangam, Violin

Music is also called Nada yoga. Nada which issues forth is really the divine pranava. ‘Raga sudha rasā pānamu jesi – Nada, svada and pranava are the very form of Sadasiva’ says Thyagaraja. To develop these Music classes with Vocal, Violin and Mridangam are conducted to help children with talent in music.

Scientific Skill Classes by Dynam Creativity Programmes

Dynam Creativity classes are being conducted in Primary and Upper primary classes to encourage the students to develop scientific skills. These classes are practically oriented.

Karate

The skills are mostly executed through ‘Kara’ (hand) hence called Karate. To train girl students for self defence karate classes have been introduced from VI to X Standard.

A closed quadrangle for Assembly, prayer, News Reading, Vyasa Programme and Question for the day. Also for Indoor Games – Table Tennis, Volley Ball, Shuttle

ART Classes

Art classes are conducted at a traditionally built SRUJANA KUTEERAM. A Perfect congenial environment for creative learning of drawing and developing. Various art forms help the child explore various means of communication and to encourage him to express himself in his own way. School provides a continuity of visual arts from I Std to X Std. Drawing using crayons is taught in the lower classes which sharpens senses through keen communication of the environment. Painting to develop creative expression is taught in the middle classes. Art activities include two dimensional pictorial drawings. In the higher classes advanced visual art is taught using poster colours. Art project covering some definite themes are also given to higher classes to do research and understand the Art subject extensively.
